1. To Bishop Swan, beloved in the Lord:
2. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3. I, Malachi, a servant of the Lord, write to you with a heavy heart and a spirit grieved by the reports of your actions that have reached my ears.
4. It is with great concern that I address the manner in which your ministry has been conducted, for it seems to deviate from the path laid out by our Lord.
5. Brethren, let us remember the teachings of the Apostle Paul, who instructed us to live in harmony with one another, for Christ has broken down the dividing wall of hostility.
6. Yet, it has come to my attention that through your words and deeds, you have fostered division rather than unity and hatred where there should be love.
7. Consider, if you will, the words of our Savior, who taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves.
8. Our Lord Jesus Christ did not differentiate among men by the color of their skin or the land of their birth, but rather by the faith and love within their hearts.
9. His ministry was one of inclusion, healing, and compassion, extending to all who sought redemption, regardless of their background.
10. You have been called to shepherd the flock, not to scatter it.
11. The ministry you lead should be a beacon of God's love, a sanctuary where all are welcomed to the table of fellowship.
12. Yet, if your words sow seeds of discord and racial animosity, then you must ask yourself, whose work are you truly doing?
13. For we are told that no one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.
14. Hate is not of God but of the adversary.
15. Satan delights in division, in turning brother against brother.
16. But we, who claim the name of Christ, are called to a higher purpose.
17. We are to be peacemakers, for blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
18. I urge you, in the love of Christ, to examine your heart and your ministry.
19. Let your teachings and your actions be measured against the life of Jesus.
20. Let love, not hate, be your legacy.
21. For as the Apostle John writes, whoever does not love does not know God because God is love.
22. May the Lord grant you wisdom and courage to change where change is needed, to heal where healing is required, and to bind up the wounds of those who have been hurt by words that should have uplifted rather than torn down.
23. In the service of our Lord Jesus Christ, I remain your brother in hope,
24. Malachi
